Looks like Governor Riley’s plan cleared the legislature and the sales job has begun. He has his work cut out. It will be a tight vote and he has to stay on message. The vast majority of citizens will not pay more in taxes, but less. Those who own property have not been paying their fair share for a long time and the time has come to pay the debt. It’s not an easy sell, but if he is willing to stick his neck out it can be accomplished.
