Robertson at It Again
James makes a strong statement this morning on the latest controversy surrounding Pat Robertson. Let me associate myself with his opinion,
It seems unlikely that God is watching the 700 Club and listening to all these prayers and suddenly saying to himself, You know what? These guys are right! Jesus, I didn’t realize how old that Stevens guy was! I mean, isn’t Pat Robertson’s God omniscient?Of course, I could be wrong. Maybe God will tend to this after he gets through with the Deion Sanders auto repair situation.
If you take the Sanders argument together with the Robertson statements we seem to be treading full on into the belief in a god of convenience. The idea that any god is concerned with how much you pay for auto repairs or the make-up of the Supreme Court is ludicrous!
I will have a prayer of my own tonight about good ol’ Pat, just in case I’m wrong.
