Death by Seinfeld

Jeff Jarvis points to this story from Norway: TV set used as murder weapon. (NOTE: Also notice the man had a motif, not a motive.)

Campaign Finance Reform

James at OTB has found some numbers to back his contention that the McCain-Feingold campaign reform laws are actually going to hurt the Democrats more than the Republicans. This table from the same website indicates that the Democrats began to learn how the game was played. Clinton/Gore took over twice as much soft money out of California as the Republicans, slightly more than the GOP in New York State and were competitive or better in many other states. This really does show they were beginning to learn how the game was played. Hopefully, they will be able to adapt to the new laws and begin competing with the Republicans in hard money as well.
