Well, the NFL season is almost upon us. I had the opportunity to draft my first fantasy football team of the season this evening. Here is the line-up:

As an aside to this story, for those of you who have become regular readers of this blog. First, thank you. Second, I hope you don’t think I am one of these people who only criticizes, but does not participate in the process. One of my New Year’s resolutions was to attend every city council meeting in my hometown this year. And I am happy to say I am one meeting short of perfect attendance so far, that’s 14/15. It’s been an education, but I’ve also seen democracy in action. All politics is truly local. I encourage anyone who has not done so to attend just one meeting of your local legislative body, you may be pleasantly surprised.
