Alstott Out for Season

Tampa Bay Buccaneer fullback (and Purdue alumnus) Mike Alstott has been placed on injured reserve. His season is finished due to a non-specific neck injury. I am a big fan of Mike’s, having had the pleasure of watching him run over people in person during his college days, and I hope he will be able to return to full strength soon.

Poutin’ House

Dr. Harvey H. (”Hardy”) Jackson tells us everyone needs a “Poutin’ House”. I hope I get one when I grow up too.

Quick Takes

I’m going to start a new (hopefully daily item) here at TWAY. A quick opinion and link to the most searched items of the day. Feedback is welcome:

  • Gray Davis: Just another unemployed worker in California.
  • Salt Lake City: In a city primary, overshadowed by the California recall, Mayor Rocky Anderson came out on top and will face Frank Pignanelli in the general election.
  • Roy Horn: We can only hope that his miraculous recovery continues.
  • Judd Gregg: What if the kidnappers had known she was a Senator’s wife? Would it have mattered if she was a Republican or Democrat?
  • Episcopal Church: Could we try Episcopals and Episcopals Light?
  • Wesley Clark: Dissension in the ranks? Clark should be used to that.
  • Azam Tariq: Someone decided there wasn’t enough violence in the world lately, so we’re going to re-open old wounds in Pakistan.
