Richard Scrushy certainly knows how to use his money. The last minute addition of famous civil rights attorney Fred Gray to the Scrushy defense team was the highlight of today’s opening arguments. You have to give the man points for flash, even if he is as crooked as they come.

If Siegelman is friends with this Scrushy dude, you can bet the farm there is something illegal going on..
They both sould be hung just for the shame they have brought to the State
of Alabama..

Hanging would be a little extreme, don’t you think? I mean, if we’re going to hang people for the shame they bring on the state, we would keep the hangman awfully busy.
