While the latest Mobile Press-Register/University of South Alabama poll shows Lt. Gov. Lucy Baxley with an 18-point lead over Don Siegelman, a Survey USA poll released Friday showed a dead heat. Baxley will get the nomination, but the spread will be inside of 15 points.
The other justices on the Alabama Supreme Court are so afraid of Tom Parker being elected Chief Justice, they’re throwing protocol to the wind. Good for them. If Roy Moore is off his rocker, Tom Parker couldn’t find the rocker if he was sitting on it. He’s incompetent and lazy, not qualities that should be desirable in a Chief Justice.
This story was overshadowed by the attorney who was abducted in downtown Birmingham (she has been found alive, by the way). It’s a rough day to be involved in court in Alabama.
