the first poll since the primaries in the Alabama gubernatorial race is disconcerting for Baxley backers. Incumbent Republican Governor Bob Riley pulled 53 percent of the vote, while Baxley only received 25 percent. The race certainly isn’t over at this point, but Baxley certainly has an uphill battle.
