Twinkle offers free plane ticket to Alabama for Howard Dean

Twinkle wants Howard Dean to come campaign with Alabama Democratic gubernatorial candidate Lucy Baxley. In light of this offer, I have an offer for Twinkle. I will pay for Jack Abramoff’s plane ticket to come and campaign next to the Governor, so they can discuss the dealings of the US Family Network.

I’m not sure if he will be available, but we’ll see.

Invasion of the Yellow Jackets

Having gotten stung and being incapacitated by it for a good while last Monday, this story makes a lot of sense to me. We are being invaded! Beware of the yellow jackets.

2nd Annual Gay Pride Festival a Success

It sounds like the 2nd Annual Montgomery-Auburn Gay Pride Festival yesterday at River Run was a great success. It’s always great to see exposure for the GLBT community in this area in a positive way.

What was that about drinking responsibly Pete? I couldn’t hear you over the sirens.

State-linked evacuees fleeing Lebanon

The Birmingham News this morning catches us up on folks with Alabama ties who are fleeing Lebanon. This kind of story is expected, but necessary and when well-done touches the heart.

Officials with Tickets

The Montgomery Advertiser had a good time in this morning’s edition, publicizing public officials who have outstanding parking tickets. Although, I can’t think of anyone who spends substantial time visiting people in downtown Montgomery who hasn’t gotten a parking ticket (and probably forgotten to pay). However, those who have done it thirty times without paying, like Board of Education member Tommie Miller, I have less sympathy for.

I’m awaiting the rapid follow-up in tomorrow’s edition, where all of these politicians get their records straightened out. Especially, the Circuit Court judges who are named. Bravo to the Advertiser for this enlightening investigation.
