The Days of PAC-to-PAC transfers may finally be over

The AP indicates, overwhelming support among legislators for banning PAC-to-PAC transfers. The time is long overdue and I hope legislators do the right thing in passing this legislation.

Clinton and Obama Cross Paths in Selma, Alabama

The national political spotlight shifted to Selma, Alabama yesterday, as Barack Obama and Hillary (as well as Bill) Clinton made appearances within blocks of each other. Alabama hasn’t had this kind of spotlight on it politically for some time. Obama fired up a standing room only crowd at Brown Chapel AME Church, with several hundred standing outside to listen. Hillary spoke at First Baptist, with only a few gathered around a TV set outside.

It will not be the last visit to Alabama for either candidate, as we have moved our primary to become a player in the presidential race. It is exciting for any Alabamian who follows politics.
