Barron calls on Bishop to quit Senate over punch

Byard Indicates Murder was Not Random

I hope Mayor Byard is correct when he says the murder in downtown Prattville was not a random act. It certainly is unsettling for the citizens of Prattville, but he is correct that concern should not be allowed to roll into fear.

Another Corrupt Official

Another one of our former corrupt public officials, Nancy Worley, is trying to get her trial delayed. She claims that’s her attorneys’ position and not hers (like we haven’t heard that before). This case needs to move forward. She’s now changed attorneys three times, and ended up with the attorney she started with…can’t somone make the madness stop?

Demons and Imaginary Friends

This certainly sounds like someone who is seriously mentally ill to me. No doubt it was a heinous crime, but this person needs treatment as well as punishment.

Fire College Controversy Continues to Burn

The ex-head of the Alabama Fire College was arrested and indicted yesterday on 37 counts. I hope he is found guilty and does go to prison. This kind of abuse of power can not be allowed to stand.

Sparks says he won’t seek Senate seat - al.com

Well, Ron chickened out of a run for the U.S. Senate, and who could blame him? As he said himself:

“I don’t think I should spend time trying to win the nomination when Sessions is having fundraisers to beat my brains out in November,” Sparks said in an interview Tuesday evening.

I hope Senator Figures does run, it would make for an interesting race if she could drum up some dollars, which will be a grand challenge.

**Jeff Vreeland doesn’t see the harm in running. The harm is in running and losing, then having your political career declared dead.
