The news wasn’t good when the statewide accountability results were publicized yesterday, but it wasn’t all bad either. Fewer schools met adequate yearly progress, but more came closer to the goal than ever before. As sad as it is, No Child Left Behind has helped test scores, whether it has helped our students is still open for debate.
