Patriots = Cheaters

I don’t think any Colts fan is surprised that Bill Belichick is a cheater…

Allegedly they were stealing the Jets defensive signals on Sunday.

“It’s not their first time,” a member of the committee, who did not wish to be identified, said.

In fact, Green Bay Packers president Bob Harlan confirmed a similar incident that occurred when the Patriots played at Lambeau Field last Nov. 19. The same cameraman who was questioned by NFL security on Sunday was also the one whom the Packers removed from the sideline and escorted from the field during their 2006 game, according to Packers security official Doug Collins.

UPDATE: Excellent discussion going on re: this post at Topix.net

UPDATE: The NFL has not yet ruled, and Belichick has apologized…for something.

Congratulations to the Lady Boilermakers

The Lady Boilermakers Soccer team beat the #1 team in the country, Portland, in the Nike/Husky invitational in Seattle, Washington yesterday. I was there the last time a Purdue women’s team beat a #1 (the basketball team beat Tennessee) and it was electric. I know the women are psyched and ready for even bigger things this season.

Isn’t Google Ads a Wonderful Thing?

Google Ads allowed Jeff Sessions to make a new friend last week,

A Web site best known for “outing” gay members of Congress is not where you would expect to see a campaign ad for U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions , R-Mobile. But that’s exactly where you could find one last Tuesday: a four-line pitch on www.blogActive.com/ touting Sessions’ service to Alabama.

The blogActive site is run by Mike Rogers , a gay activist in the nation’s capital who has won new-found notoriety for raising questions last year about the sexual orientation of U.S. Sen. Larry Craig , R-Idaho. Craig pleaded guilty last month to disorderly conduct after being arrested in a June sex sting at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. He has since called the misdemeanor plea a mistake and denies that he is gay.

“It’s not where we want to advertise at all,” Sessions campaign spokesman Chuck Spurlock said last week in response to Press-Register inquiries. But Google matches ads to sites where certain words appear, he said. The campaign has since blocked the ad from further appearances on Rogers’ site, he said.

What a shame…it’s called “reaching out” Chuck.

A situation that needs to be addressed

Yes, I would agree that this situation with the Prichard Housing Authority, and it’s quasi non-profit arm owning many buildings that are just being neglected is a “situation that needs to be addressed”.

Uneven Enforcement?

There have been 117 student dress code violations reported to the Montgomery school district so far this year, and 97 of those were from Robert E. Lee High School.

The school system officials say Lee is just doing a great job enforcing the new code and reporting violations.

But some parents say the code isn’t being enforced equally at all schools.

Gee, you think? The system better start working harder to ensure all schools are enforcing the new code.
