I certainly appreciate Danny’s blogging/reporting, but the conspiracy theories that surround a legitimate news story in the Birmingham News yesterday makes me ill. What was the point of the story? The point is that the problems with two-year colleges have been ongoing for a long time and stretch further than legislators being employed and not doing any real work. It stretches to aides to Governor Siegelman an Congressman Davis being on the payroll of a two-year college. Does it have to be illegal for anybody to say it was wrong? Of course it wasn’t illegal, but was it unethical, and the fact that anybody is trying to make the assertion that this is a smear campaign is ridiculous. Bravo to the MSM in this state for continuing to expose the “dirty little secrets” of state government, and I hope they aren’t done yet.
