I don’t have much to say about Clarence Thomas, he’s not worth the effort, but I did find this interesting from Mary Orndorff,
Heflin asked Thomas if he had watched Anita Hill’s testimony, and here is what Thomas wrote about what happened next:
“No I didn’t,” I snapped. “I’ve heard enough lies.”
Senator Heflin’s friends in the media liked to describe his manner as “courtly,” but now it made me think of a slave owner sitting on the porch of a plantation house.

The dreams of progressives everywhere may be answered:
A group including James Dobson, Tony Perkins and Richard Viguerie “broke away for separate discussions at a meeting Saturday in Salt Lake City of the Council for National Policy, a secretive conservative networking group” where they “expressed support for a written resolution stating that “if the Republican Party nominates a pro-abortion candidate we will consider running a third-party candidate,” participants said.”
How can we ensure this happens?

I looked through all my usual sources for writing fodder and found literally nothing…it must be an EXTREMELY slow news day. Good for the world, but bad for my site.
A couple of sports notes. My Boilermakers have the biggest game in many a year in primetime next Saturday night against Ohio State. Both teams are ranked, and it should be a tough fight. My Indianapolis Colts had two of their stars go down to injury yesterday, it’s yet to be determined how serious the injuries are. I hope the best for Joseph Addai and Marvin Harrison.
Even the Daily News Digest at Doc’s Political Parlor, which normally has a wealth of good stuff, reflects how little there is in the news today.

Thank goodness…I mean…if he had included the bras, it would have been outrage.
