Governor Riley’s press secretary indicated yesterday that they do not believe a consensus will be reached that will allow for a special session this year. This does not bode well for a productive regular session next year. There is still a significant rift in the Senate that will likely lead to another contentious session, hopefully not boiling over to the point of fisticuffs this time.

It looks as if the Alabama Democratic Conference, the African-American wing of the Alabama Democratic Party will passover Barack Obama to endorse Hilary Clinton. This would be a very nice feather in the cap for Mrs. Clinton.
