State’s ADC votes to endorse Clinton

The Alabama Democratic Conference voted to endorse Hillary Clinton yesterday…just as they voted to endorse Walter Mondale rather than Jesse Jackson in 1988. If a group of 700 African-Americans doesn’t believe Barack Obama is “electable”, why should anyone else?
I like Artur Davis’s statement that once he has a good showing in Iowa and South Carolina, Alabamians will change their tune. Everything is riding on the earliest states for Obama…there are a lot of people who want to support him, but until he demonstrates he can take more votes than Hillary somewhere, he won’t be a serious contender in the Feb. 5th states.
