Alabama’s DHR is role model to mirror
It’s surprising to hear, but other states are looking to Alabama’s child welfare system as a model for the rest of the country. It’s nice to hear and goes to show, it is possible for Alabama government to work for the positive.

Don’t believe it. I have worked in child welfare since 1991 and since RC ended, it has been a disaster. ADAP is appealing the RC Decree and hopefully we will be back under federal oversight soon. Children and families are suffering. Call James Tucker at ADAP if you don’t believe me.

I FEEL THAT THIS IS NOT RIGHT FOR DHR TO TAKE 25 DOLLARS A YEAR FROM PARENTS THAT GET CHILDSUPPORT BECAUSE SOMETIMES THE FATHERS DON’T PAY LIKE THEY SUPPOSE TO THEN IT TAKES FOREVER FOR THEM TO FIND OUT THEIR INFORMATION AND THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT TYPE OF SITUATION YOUR IN BEFORE THEY DECIDE TO TAKE THAT 25 FROM YOU THAT COULD BE YOUR LAST TO FEED YOUR KIDS WITH BUT THEY RATHER GIVE IT TO PEOPLE WHO DON’T WORK AND DON’T WANT A JOB BUT THEIR NOT THINKING ABOUT IF YOU DO WORK YOU HAVE TAXES ALREADY COMMING OUT OF YOUR CHECK AND WILL YOUR GROSS COULD CAUSE YOU NOT TO GET FOODSTAMPS SO WHAT DO WE EXPECT TO COME TO US IF DHR DON’T DO THEIR JOB BY HELPING YOU GET YOUR FULL CHILDSUPPORT THAT THE ABSCENT PARENT DON’T PAY UM THEY DON’T THINK ABOUT THAT THEY JUST HAVE YOUR THINKING THEY WILL DO THEIR JOB BUT THEY DON’T I THINK TAKING 25 DOLLARS OUT A CHILDSUPPORT CHECK IS REDICULOUS BECAUSE WHY SHOULD YOU TAKE SOMETHING FROM SOMEONE WHOSE TRYING TO BENEFIT THEIR HOUSEHOLD WITH LOW INCOME DON’T HURT SOCIETY WORK WITH SOCIETY BECAUSE WE NEED ALL THE MONEY WE CAN GET AND IT’S NOT TO MUCH TO GET WHEN EVERYTHING IS SO HIGH AND PEOPLE BEING SELFISH ABOUT BEING GREEDY.
