Senate leader hires convicted ex-lawmaker

I wish this was an “only in Alabama” thing, but it’s not…it’s just friends helping friends, no matter how it may appear to the public. I would hope Sen. Little’s constituents would convince him that putting a man who pled guilty to misappropriating state money on his payroll isn’t a great idea.

Which is Worse

I’m not sure who is in the wrong here…is it the Governor and the Medicaid Commissioner who refuse to put specific numbers on the looming Medicaid “crisis” or is it the State Senate for feeling the need to hire an attorney just so they can get the budget started “early”. It seems ridiculous no matter who is in the wrong. The governor should be able to give the legislature some ballpark to work with, even if they haven’t nailed down every jot and tittle and the legislature should have some patience to allow that to happen.

Sad, but Necessary

It is sad when airline service has gotten so bad that the Governor feels he needs to be involved, but it has certainly gotten that bad with ASA/Delta in Montgomery.
