After ignoring the issue for almost his entire two terms, the governor is finally seeing the need to increase funding for pre-kindergarten programs in the state. Whether the legislature will follow-through with the money for the initative is a whole other story, but he will certainly have those who will stand by him strongly on the need.
Alabama has ignored the education of its youngest citizens for so long and it is time to put them on the front-burner, for the health and well-being of all Alabamians.
