“He was the reason we actually got the grant,” Pettagrue said. “He was kind of our consultant on the grant.”

McClain occasionally also called college officials to prompt payment when the state checks were taking longer than expected to arrive, Pettagrue said.

“There were times when the money would not come in a timely fashion. So there were times we turned to him for that,” Pettagrue said.

He was the reason we got the grant, so that means he was a consultant for their agency…which means he deserves to be paid for his trouble? He’s an elected official, moron! Of course, it was Sen. McClain’s responsibility to know the law more than it was his constituents.

Now, he deserves to be booted from office, but what will happen to him. Likely, nothing…
