Watching NBC…
**Brian Williams calls it “easily, the most anticipated” vice presidential debate
**Chuck Todd says “neither one lived up to their negative stereotypes”, “she was a better surrogate for her top of the ticket than his”.
**Biden and Palin are having a nice chat post-debate…
**Tom Brokaw says “coldest state, hottest governor”…hilarious…
**Brian Williams interviews Geraldine Ferraro…she says she “did a good job”, and thought Joe Biden effectively communicated Democratic policies
**Peggy Noonan says Palin “killed”…Biden and Ifill “weren’t even there” to Palin
My reaction…Palin came in with an agenda and stuck to it. A friend of mine sent a message that said, “I feel like I’m watching Palin play debate bingo…ooo, ooo, I get to use that one…check!”. And that is what it felt like…but she played it well. I don’t think most McCain supporters will care that she didn’t answer the questions. We will see the pendulum of polling swing a little back to McCain as his support balloons again.
The next presidential debate is next week. The town hall will be interesting…we keep marching toward election day.

I greatly anticipated this Vice Presidential debate because I have been desperately trying to understand why Senator McCain picked Governor Palin. I feel his choice was clearly to lure women voters who were in support of Hillary. But one thing is for clear, Palin in NOT Hillary! Hillary would smash her if they were to go at it.
I think Senator McCain made a poor decision choosing Palin. Palin delivered a rehearsed campaign speech about her accomplishments, NOT A DEBATE! She did not answer many of the questions posed to her by the moderator or Biden. Instead she chose to dance around or dodge the bullets by changing the topic back to energy. Deflecting the topic doesn’t mean she has WON or HELD HER OWN. Answering the questions straight up is holding your own and a WIN.
Palin’s mode was way to relaxed, especially the comical type of language, such as “say it ain’t so Joe” and giving the SHOT OUTS at the end! This wasn’t a football field or campaign rally, IT was A DEBATE! Rebuff the questions thrown at you!
The economy is dead and she was trying to give comical punch lines! GO BACK AND PRACTICE AGAIN PALIN! I don’t want swift talk; I need answers to the questions so that I can make the best decision for this most important election for our country.
I was so proud of Joe Biden. I had never heard either speak before tonight and I was BLOWN away by Biden! He was excellent! He clearly laid out what he and OBAMA will do during their term. Palin on the other hand didn’t showcase herself as the McCain’s partner, but rather as a his eye candy administrator; there only to be pretty for the clients, or in this case for the citizens of the United States. Don’t be fooled America! She needs more experience. I need someone as my VP who knows more about domestic and international affairs than my twelve-year-old twin boys or I.
Palin needs to be home raising her baby. She needs to be focusing on her family and not letting her girl children carry around her baby, like a baby doll. She’s a very dangerous pick! She supports taking away a women’s right to choose. That’s crazy! Every women needs to make the right decision for themselves. How would she like it if her rights where taking away for a woman of her age to have a child, when we all know at her age there’s a high risk of down syndrome (“the proof is in the pudding”)? She wouldn’t like that, but Palin wouldn’t see that point because her thinking isn’t broad. There are many more qualified women who should be making history, NOT PALIN.
I have decided…Obama/Biden!

i think sarah palin came with an agenda and stuck to it, yes, but absolute refusal to answer questions shows her lack of respect for what the people want in comparison to what she herself feels is important. i dont know about you, but i do not want that kind of attitude to continue to dominate american politics.
