Loading ...I have a problem with these headlines, as it perpetuates a myth that meeting people from the internet is somehow more dangerous than other means of meeting people. I contend if this guy was going to pull a knife on a woman, he would have done it whether he met her at a bar, at the supermarket or at church.

We have another candidate for Montgomery mayor…developer Byron Berry. There is a nice write-up in the Advertiser this morning if you’d like to get to know him. I don’t know much about him, but based on the write-up, he sounds like someone I could support. Most people with any knowledge of state government know that if you tell all agencies they have to cut expenses by 10% there are going to be layoffs. Many small agencies have nothing but personnel costs, Archives and History being a prime example. I hope those who say there is tons of waste in state government pay attention during these times…don’t you think if there was any thing that could be cut, department heads would do that before laying people off? I do… Budget cuts could mean some state worker layoffs – NewsFlash – al.com. Cam Ward continues to be as strong a champion for putting resources behind helping people with autism as you will find in the country. I applaud his efforts and it never hurts to be able to put an adorable face to a problem such as this to make it really hit home for people.
