Color Me Unimpressed…

I went to check out Governor Riley’s shiny new website for open and accountable state government, and I have to say I am very unimpressed. Not only is there no new information here, most of the page is just links to other pages that have been on the web for years, but there is no new way to access the information.

The problem with data on how state dollars are spent is not that the information isn’t out there, it’s that it is very difficult to breakdown and combine to truly understand the scope of spending and where the money is going. I give the governor credit for trying, but this is far from what is needed.
