Where Should People Gather to Tell Arrington NOT to Run?

NOOOOOO…the following is being circulated by e-mail from concernedcitizensofbirmingham(at)gmail(dot)com

If you want Dr.

Richard Arrington

Jr. to Run for Mayor

of Birmingham

Come out to Linn Park

(On 8th Ave North, Between

20th Street N & Richard

Arrington Jr. Blvd N)

This Monday, November

16, 2009

At 12:00 Noon

Concerned Citizens of

Birmingham want to draft

Arrington into the

race for Mayor!

So, let us not be surprised if Richard Arrington proclaims after Monday that because of “public demand” he was forced into the race…*rolling my eyes*

UPDATE:  Arrington announced today that he would not run.  So is the rally designed to show there IS public support and he will miraculously change his mind?  Was there such a negative response to the idea of a rally that he decided he’ll pass?  Or was there no relation between this group and Arrington in the first place?
