BREAKING: Parker Griffith switching to GOP

Politico reported exclusively minutes ago that Alabama U.S. Rep. Parker Griffith is switching from the Democratic to the Republican party today.  Needless to say, this is a huge Christmas surprise and will send ripples across the landscape of Alabama politics.  I will have more on this story soon.
