Obama Says “Enough is Enough”

Obama just moments ago…

“Spare me the phony outrage. Spare me the phony talk about change,” Obama said at the beginning of an education event in Virginia. “We have real problems in this country right now. The American people are looking to us for answers, not distractions, not diversions, not manipulations. They want real answers to the real problems we are facing.”

I wish that were the case…it seems like it isn’t. Most voters seem to want change, but any change will do. How Obama goes about convincing them that change doesn’t mean giving the same party who has had the White House for the past eight years another four will determine whether or not he can win this election.

The Republicans have done a great job of making the storyline about McCain-Palin and you never hear any mention of Bush-Cheney. They can’t get away with ignoring the last eight years. The “voting with Bush 90% of the time” line doesn’t seem to be working, they need to find another tact to make the same point.

How about, “If you’ve been happy with the last eight years, then vote McCain-Palin, because they’ll deliver another four.”

McCain Gets Thumbs Up from Bush

Is this an endorsement McCain really wants?

“We live in a dangerous world,” Bush says. “And we need a president who understands the lessons of September 11, 2001: that to protect America, we must stay on the offense, stop attacks before they happen and not wait to be hit again.”

“The man we need is John McCain.”
