More Untrue Rumors Spread by E-mail
I heard about this e-mail yesterday from my wife.
The e-mail states that two young women who speak with foreign accents are traveling by bike in Montgomery neighborhoods and selling books door-to-door.
The e-mail states that there apparently have been break-ins after residents allowed one of the women into their home and she saw what they had inside.
Police have heard from several people who have had contact with the women, but none has reported a break-in.
Meanwhile two Estonian girls are now unable to do their job because of these untruths spread by e-mail.
In the Southwestern summer program, students work 80-hour weeks, said Ann Walker, a past participant. Students take part outside of their hometowns so they don’t have the temptations they would have at home, she said. Southwestern claims U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions among past participants.
Koobas said the police have stopped her, searched her and questioned her extensively but let her go. One, she said, gave her some pepper spray as personal protection.
